Our Perspective
We treat AI as a useful assistant, not a researcher and certainly not an authority.
Used well, AI can help you think more clearly, organise your work, understand unfamiliar material, and draft notes or summaries as you go. Used carelessly, it can introduce errors, flatten nuance (introduce “AI slop”), and create a false sense of confidence.
In the Green Room, AI always sits alongside traditional genealogical practice. Original records, local knowledge, context, and judgement always come first. Verification is non-negotiable. AI can be genuinely helpful, but only when it knows its place!
